First Impressions: W7 The Cheek of it: In the Pink Blushers

w7, in the pink, the cheek of it, blusher, pink, pink sands

The W7 The Cheek of it: In the Pink Blushers in Pink Sands is a fun bright pink blush. This is a matte blush with no sparkles at all which is a good thing since the color is already so bright! I have already featured this blush in a haul I did recently, which you can view HERE. This is just a short post where you can view the product and see some swatches. The product is imprinted with the “in the Pink” words and I love when products have that imprints on them. 🙂

This is my first bright pink blush, so I am still a little hesitant to use it, but with the right hand, the right brush and the right amount you get a really gorgeous blush color with this product! There are other shades of pink from this brand that I would love to try too and the color payoff is so good that I am looking forward to try more!

Haul: More Revlon Products

This haul is long overdue, since I got these products at the end of December! But among the Christmas holidays, assignments and exams this blog post got lost in all the mayhem! I am exceptionally late to jump on the Revlon foundation band wagon, since I was not a big fan of foundations until I used the Revlon Colorstay foundation for Combination/Oily skin. I have very acne prone skin which results in skin that is left with blemishes that need covering up. So when I was given a free make-over and the MUA used this foundation, I was pleasantly surprised. I left my skin looking non-greasy and the cover power is really great (review coming soon)! The bonus is that it doesn’t break me out. Thus, I had to get my hands on this foundation and I have been in love ever since. As I love the Revlon Lipglosses I got another one of the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Glosses in 18 Pearl Plum.

The lipgloss has blue shimmers in it, really gorgeous!

Product Review: Avon Illuminating Eye Cream

A few weeks ago, I got myself this Avon Solutions Plus Total Radiance Illuminating Eye Cream (Phew! That is a mouthful :P). I am still searching for my perfect eye cream and I decided to give it a go. I have sensitive eyes, very dark circles round my eyes and they are puffy too so I need something to illuminate my eyes whilst reducing the puffiness and the dark circles without irritating my eyes.  I got this product from eBay for about €4.00.

What they claim:
For normal/combination skin. This soothing gel refreshes and revives the eye area. Minimizes the appearance of undereye bags and helps brighten dark circles. Hypoallergenic. Dermatologist-tested. Fragrance-free.

What I think:
This product has a peachy color to it which does not transfer to the lid at all. It has tiny particles in it which can better see in real life that I think are for brightening the eye area. I like the effect this product has on the lid but I’m not sure this is my favorite eye cream yet, still looking. This product retails for $12.00 on the Avon website (I got it for a good bargain), and it contains 15ml/0.5fl oz. It has a light scent to it but it is not overwhelming and not irritating at all. I use it day and night and apply it gently all over the lid and then pat it under the eye to reduce the puffiness. It applies really easily and absorbs instantly into the skin. It works well as a base under makeup and does not get greasy and I can tell since I have oily lids.

First Impressions: Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lip Color in Tea Rose

The Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lip Color in  026 Tea Rose is a Berry colored lip stick with Bluish sparkles in it and some coral undertones. I have already featured this lipstick in a haul I did recently, which you can view HERE. But I decided to give it more space and give a closer look at this product as it is really a gorgeous shade.

Can you see the bluish sparkles in the product?

I love the Revlon Color Burst lipsticks but this product is really great too. It is not sheer and gives really good color payoff. After just one swipe of the product you get a nice layer of color on the lips and it has a really nice moisturizing consistency to it.

Product Review: Too Faced Shadow Insurance

The Too Faced Shadow Insurance is an eyelid primer that acts as a base for your eye shadows and brings out the colors in your shadows. I have been contemplating for some time now whether to get this product, I was unsure whether to get this one or the Urban Decay Primer Potion. But I think this offers better packaging as you are able to get the product out more easily. I got mine from eBay since there are no stores here in Malta that sell any Too Faced products or I don’t know of any. It came wrapped in this cute organza bag and also some bubble wrap. You can find more detailed information on the Too Faced website.

What they claim:
Your full-coverage insurance policy against eye shadow fading, creasing, and melting. Our silicone-based eyeshadow primer transforms any eye shadow into a perfectly blendable, color-drenched, intensified version of itself, then locks it down perfectly until you take it off. Our skin soothing formula evens out the skin tone on your lids and smoothes out lines while it secures a barrier between the oils of your skin and your makeup, so no shadow catastrophes will ever happen again.

Tips and Tricks:

1. Apply to clean, dry, lids using your finger.
2. A little goes a long way, the product will blend in without being visible.
3. Create shadow intensity for smoky eyes by placing Shadow Insurance on lids only, wait 30 seconds, then apply shadow.

Benefits:
Vitamin E – Conditions, soothes and calms the delicate eye area.
Unique Binders – Volatiles lock down eye shadow pigments for amazingly long wear.
Tocopherol – Anti-aging, antioxidant moisturizer.
Versatility Galore – Use with powder or cream eye shadow products.
Reliable Beauty – Anti-creasing formula holds eye products in place.
Concentrated – The size of a rain drop covers the entire lid.

What I think:
I really like this product as it has a nice creamy consistency where a little product goes a long way and it is easy to blend on the eye lid. I have oily lids, which means that if I am wearing makeup for some long period of time, I have to apply a primer, otherwise the shadow will crease. I love using this product when I am going out and I am applying more shadow than usual. For normal days I usually make use of my Elf Mineral Eye Primer which works really well too. This product retails for $18.00 on the Too Faced website but I got it a little cheaper since I got it from eBay. You get 11g/0.35oz of product in this cute shiny tube. I will definitely be repurchasing this product but I am sure this will last me a long time.

Random fact: There seem to be two designs for the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, the one I have is as is shown on the Too Faced website, then there is another design as is shown on the Sephora website. Apart for the design they are identical products.

Have you ever tried the Too Faced Shadow Insurance? What do you think?
