Life: Happy Easter!!

Easter is upon us once more, I don’t know how this year has gone by! I just wanted to do a little fun post with some Easter fun food that we decorate and have around the house at this time of year ๐Ÿ™‚ We don’t usually decorate much in Easter but this year we decided we wanted to get more in the Easter spirit as far as sweets go ๐Ÿ™‚

A Bauli Easter Egg which is made from Dark Chocolate – I love it ๐Ÿ™‚

My mum did this Easter Bunny Basket, this was her first attempt and
as you can tell its poor head looks so weird haha ๐Ÿ˜€
I made fun of it for weeks now
๐Ÿ˜€

This is our little Easter Egg bowl filled with delicious mini chocolate eggs and
Smarties
filled Chocolate Eggs, yummy!

This is a ‘Figolla‘ which is a traditional Maltese Easter sweet,
it is made of sweet dough with almond paste filling and covered in chocolate, delicious ๐Ÿ™‚
I also wanted to thank all of my new followers, I am so happy to have reached a 100 followers on this blog and can’t wait to do many more reviews, hauls and much more! I hope you like this more personal post too and I would love to hear about your traditional Easter foods and traditions!

What are your favorite foods for Easter? Do you have any traditions for Easter?

  1. I love that Easter basket your mom has made it's so cute. When I was younger growing up in America my mom always made sure I had a big Easter basket filled with green plastic grass and loads of chocolate and little presents. I always liked the soft toys I got and Reese's peanut butter eggs yum yum!

  2. @Camilla: I am a chocoholic too ๐Ÿ™‚

@Amalia: I love Smarties, never tasted these eggs though ๐Ÿ™‚ Figolla is sweet dough that is cut into shapes then you sandwich them and in between you have almond paste filling and you bake them. Then you can decorate them however you want ๐Ÿ™‚

@Skin Scrubs: We always have figolli here for Easter and I really love them, wish we had them all year round ๐Ÿ™‚ I love having traditional foods ๐Ÿ™‚

Haha your mom is so cute. Love the little basket! Norwegians don't really treat Easter as a huge thing, but some families do have reunions and we also have these Easter chocolate eggs with cream inside! My god those are delicious haha ๐Ÿ˜›
Our family usually gather up with relatives and just eat:) My blog pretty much describes what I did for the past days haha ๐Ÿ˜›

  4. Hey Charlene!! The chocolate looks absolutely amazing, and the basket your mom made looks really cute ๐Ÿ˜‰ Maybe the poor bunny could look a little more happier next time =D I dont celebrate Easter, but when i lived in Montreal, and Easter came around and most were celebrating it; my mom used to buy a cart of eggs, made a little hole in the egg to empty the inside and would let us draw on them for fun. ๐Ÿ™‚ I had totally blocked that out of my memory until now. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope all is well XOXO
