If there is one thing I want, when it comes to makeup, during the Summer months, is for it to be long lasting and hassle free. The pen-like cream eyeshadows whilst being hassle free, do not always live up to their claims of longevity and end up smeared all over my eyes (and face).
However, when I was first swatching the Pupa Milano Made to Last Waterproof Eyeshadows I tried to rub them off and even though I had just applied them only a minute before, they wouldn’t come off. I also wanted to mention that even though they are waterproof they are not a pain to remove with makeup remover and you will not have to rub your eyes to take it off.
The colours I have are #16 and #18, the first being a gorgeous chocolate brown with tiny golden particles and the latter is a shimmery pale golden shade. Although when swatching them I thought the pale golden shade was a bit patchy, after applying it on my eyes and smudging it out a bit to remove any hard edges, it looks gorgeous and uniform. The shimmer is gorgeous as it reflects the light and works great simply applied all over the lid with a little shading in the crease and a red lip. The chocolate brown colour looks gorgeous either for a bold look all over the lid or worked into the outer part of the crease for some shadow.
The products come in a pen-like twist-up stick that allows you to apply the shadow exactly where you want to. Even better they all come with a small sharpener that is located at the bottom of the stick, you just pull-out the bottom bit and there is your sharpener, easy and handy to use even on-the-go.
The product itself transfers easily on the lid, without getting too much build-up, and the shades are intense, giving you full colour with just one swipe. The Pupa Milano Made to Last Waterproof Eyeshadow sticks set quite quickly, but they do give you enough time to work them on the lid with a brush for your desired effect and to remove any hard edges.
Once they set, they’re not going anywhere, unless you are removing them with makeup remover yourself. The last perfectly throughout the day even in the Maltese summer heat and don’t transfer to your top lid! At the same time they are not drying on the lids, which is an issue I’ve noticed with some cream products I have used in the past. I find them perfect to throw on when I want to look a bit more made-up but don’t feel like putting in the effort or have the time to do something more complicated.
The Pupa Milano Made to Last Waterproof Eyeshadow sticks are part of the limited edition Pupa Bronze Fever summer collection and they retail for €10.80.
