First Impressions: Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lip Color in Tea Rose

The Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lip Color in  026 Tea Rose is a Berry colored lip stick with Bluish sparkles in it and some coral undertones. I have already featured this lipstick in a haul I did recently, which you can view HERE. But I decided to give it more space and give a closer look at this product as it is really a gorgeous shade.

Can you see the bluish sparkles in the product?

I love the Revlon Color Burst lipsticks but this product is really great too. It is not sheer and gives really good color payoff. After just one swipe of the product you get a nice layer of color on the lips and it has a really nice moisturizing consistency to it.

Product Review: Too Faced Shadow Insurance

The Too Faced Shadow Insurance is an eyelid primer that acts as a base for your eye shadows and brings out the colors in your shadows. I have been contemplating for some time now whether to get this product, I was unsure whether to get this one or the Urban Decay Primer Potion. But I think this offers better packaging as you are able to get the product out more easily. I got mine from eBay since there are no stores here in Malta that sell any Too Faced products or I don’t know of any. It came wrapped in this cute organza bag and also some bubble wrap. You can find more detailed information on the Too Faced website.

What they claim:
Your full-coverage insurance policy against eye shadow fading, creasing, and melting. Our silicone-based eyeshadow primer transforms any eye shadow into a perfectly blendable, color-drenched, intensified version of itself, then locks it down perfectly until you take it off. Our skin soothing formula evens out the skin tone on your lids and smoothes out lines while it secures a barrier between the oils of your skin and your makeup, so no shadow catastrophes will ever happen again.

Tips and Tricks:

1. Apply to clean, dry, lids using your finger.
2. A little goes a long way, the product will blend in without being visible.
3. Create shadow intensity for smoky eyes by placing Shadow Insurance on lids only, wait 30 seconds, then apply shadow.

Benefits:
Vitamin E – Conditions, soothes and calms the delicate eye area.
Unique Binders – Volatiles lock down eye shadow pigments for amazingly long wear.
Tocopherol – Anti-aging, antioxidant moisturizer.
Versatility Galore – Use with powder or cream eye shadow products.
Reliable Beauty – Anti-creasing formula holds eye products in place.
Concentrated – The size of a rain drop covers the entire lid.

What I think:
I really like this product as it has a nice creamy consistency where a little product goes a long way and it is easy to blend on the eye lid. I have oily lids, which means that if I am wearing makeup for some long period of time, I have to apply a primer, otherwise the shadow will crease. I love using this product when I am going out and I am applying more shadow than usual. For normal days I usually make use of my Elf Mineral Eye Primer which works really well too. This product retails for $18.00 on the Too Faced website but I got it a little cheaper since I got it from eBay. You get 11g/0.35oz of product in this cute shiny tube. I will definitely be repurchasing this product but I am sure this will last me a long time.

Random fact: There seem to be two designs for the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, the one I have is as is shown on the Too Faced website, then there is another design as is shown on the Sephora website. Apart for the design they are identical products.

Have you ever tried the Too Faced Shadow Insurance? What do you think?

Awards: Revisited

I’ve been given The Versatile Award again from the lovely, gorgeous girls from Linsay at Ramblings from a Beauty Newbie and April from April Claire Makeup. Thanks girls so much, you are so sweet! I love reading their blogs and have been a follower for some months now! April gave me the award a few weeks ago but since I had already received the award a few days before I wanted to leave some time before I posted this post. Also I think this is a good opportunity to share some facts about myself with some new followers of this blog! Thanks for following, I appreciate every one of you!

Now on to the rules:
♥ Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them in your post.

7 things about myself:
1. I am obsessed with makeup and I have to stop myself from buying things sometimes as otherwise I could go overboard
2. I am currently really loving false eyelashes, I love the way they can change the whole look and make you look so much glamorous!
3. I really wanted to hate the Twilight series and didn’t want to watch the movies at all but since I got the books I have fallen in love with the series although I admit the books are so much better.
4. Talking of books, I am a huge Harry Potter fan and when the books where coming out and a new one would have just come out I would sometimes stay awake and read until I finished the book. This is why I finished the last book in about 2 days.

Product Review: The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist

I bought this product some time ago as I wanted to try a face mist to use during the night when I didn’t want to be bothered with applying a moisturizer before going to bed. I love The Body Shop items and their values and the ingredients they put in their products so I decided to give it a go. I got mine from eBay but on The Body Shop Website it has a retail price of $16.00 for 3.2 fl oz.

What they claim:
Give your skin an instant pick-me-up with a go-anywhere, rosewater-scented mist that moisturizes, conditions and protects.

How it works:
♥ Vitamin E is a nourishing natural antioxidant that moisturizes and protects against premature aging and environmental aggressors.
♥ Glycerin moisturizes skin to improve softness and maximize hydration.
♥ Liposomes and lecithin help skin to quickly absorb vitamin E and restore skin’s natural moisture balance.

My Conclusions:
I love this product for a light but hydrating mist all over the face. It dries up fast on its own and it has a nice rose scent to it! I find this particularly useful when I am studying and I don’t go out that much.

Do you like The Body Shop? Have you tried anything from the Vitamin E range?

Haul: Free Image Template and Rhinestones

Some weeks ago the cool people for Born Pretty Store where kind enough to offer promotional codes to get both these items for free. I got myself this Nail Art template that has the cutest designs and these cute rhinestones that can be applied to the nails. Now I am looking forward to get all the necessary tools to use this image template. You can check out the Image Template (affiliate links): Nail Art Hello Kitty Stamp Template DIY Kit and the Rhinestones: 12 Colors Round Rhinestone Nail Art Glitter.

They offer free shipping and all their products are really at an affordable price! They have many nail art supplies and nail polishes, so if you are a fan you will surely find all that you need here! I’m still not a pro at applying nail art but I want to learn and practice at it until I get it right.

Do you create nail art to your nails? Have your ever bought from this store?

Haul: Asian Products

Camellia Face Masks, Rose Eye Masks, Pore Strips
I have been dying to try out some face masks and as they are usually sold in Asia, I decided to give them a try. However, since there are no stores here in Malta that do sell Asian brands such as these I decided to try and purchase some from eBay. MissGlamorazzi on YouTube had been raving for some time about the Beauty Diary face masks and I really wanted to try some. So I got the ones shown above in the green and yellow box which are pretty similar! As I was browsing I also happened to see the Eye masks which intrigued me as I’d never really thought about them. I have dark circles round my eyes and they do tend to get a lot puffy, so I decided to give them a go also. They turned out to be really nice and cooling eye patches that you can put on you eyes and they have little slits so you can keep your eyes open. Lastly, I saw the pore strips which I must say where a huge disappointment and did not work at all.

Rose Eye Mask

Pore Strips

My Conclusions:
I love the bright and fun packaging that all these products come into. As I said I am not impressed at all with the pore strips but maybe I just got the wrong brand or something. I definitely love the masks and will be sure to purchase more of the face masks in the future as they are truly relaxing and calming to the skin. I love the eye masks too but will have to try them further to see whether they do reduce my dark circles.

Have you tried any Asian products? Would you recommend any?

Haul: A few Makeup Products

Last week I was online browsing through websites and I decided to haul some stuff! Its actually a mini haul but I got somethings that I have been dying to get my hands on. I bought all the items from The Cosmetic House website which offers a variety of brands at an affordable price. I got four items from this website:

♥ W7 The Cheek of it: In the Pink Blushers – Pink Sands
Bourjois Ombre a Paupieres Eyeshadow Single – Beige Trompe Loeil 79
♥ Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lip color – 026 Tea Rose
♥ Benefit Crease less Cream Eyeshadow/Liner – Sippin and Dippin

Bourjois Ombre a Paupieres Eyeshadow Single – Beige Trompe Loeil 79
Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lip color – 026 Tea Rose
Benefit Crease less Cream Eyeshadow/Liner – Sippin and Dippin

I have been dying to try out this Crease less Cream Shadow/Liner from Benefit ever since Fleur De Force mentioned it in her blog. She compared it to MAC Rubenesque Paint Pot and as I don’t have any paint pots from MAC I really wanted to try this product for a better price. This is a peachy coral color and I can’t wait to try it out.

For a review of the Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lip color in 026 Tea Rose you can check HERE. For a closer look at the W7 Blusher you can check HERE. For a review of the Benefit Creaseless Cream you can go HERE.
