On my Nails: NYX Red Wine

This week on my nails I am wearing the NYX Advanced Salon Formula Nail Polish in 195 Red Wine. I have been really loving the NYX nail polishes and I was on the hunt for a nice dark burgundy colour for a while. Excuse the mess around the nails, was in a kind of hurry.

I find their dark nail colours last really well on my nails and even after a week the only chipping I get is at the tips of my nails. You get 15ml with this formula which is really good for their price of 6.95.

As always I apply a base coat and a top coat on my nails. Especially the base coat is very important when using darker shades as it prevents the polish from staining your nails.

What is your favourite dark nail polish? Do you like the NYX nail polishes?

Pink of the Week: Essence Naughty and Pink

This week on my nails I am wearing Essence Colour & Go in #107 Naughty and Pink! which is a bright fuchsia pink.

I applied two coats of the Essence polish and the Sally Hansen’s Base Coat and Top Coat. The price of these nail polishes is €1.70 which is amazing and they always last a good week on my nails.

The consistency of the polish is not too thick so it goes on smooth and not streaky on the nails, better than some other more expensive brands I have tried. You get 8ml of product and they have a very good range of colours.

Have you tried any of the Essence polishes? Which one is your favourite?

NOTD: Sephora Welcome to my loft

I have recently received this nail polish from a very good friend of mine who went to Paris on holiday. Now since we don’t have Sephora where I live, getting something from the infamous place is a big deal!

This is also my first Sephora nail polish so I was curious to see how it held up, if it chipped easily and how long it takes to dry.

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the colour and application. It is very easy to use and dries fairly quickly.

It is a brownish colour called “Welcome to my loft” with subtle golden shimmers in it. You can find it here.

Next vacation I’ll be sure to pick up a couple more shades to try out!

NOTD: Elf Nail Polish in Desert Haze

elf nail polish desert haze

I am finally going to do a NOTD, this has been a long time coming! A few weeks ago I got my hands on the Elf Nail Polish in Desert Haze which is a nude color. I don’t have many nail color shades that are nude and since nude is so popular at the moment I decided to give it a go!

I find the color looks a little washed out and it is a little more darker in person.
Still very natural color and easy to wear.
Here I have two coats of
Elf Desert Haze and an Essence High Shine Top Coat.
My nails are still getting over my
study nervous attacks so pardon
my less than perfect looking nails and cuticles.
Do you have any recommendations?

I got my bottle from the Elf website for €1.70.
You get
10 ml of product.
The color is a
greyish nude color I would say,
more of a
cool nude rather than it being warm.
I love this shade and I think once I get a little more tan
it will look even better. Very wearable shade.
Be careful though cause the polish itself can get
a
little streaky if you don’t two good coats.
The color lasted for
5 days without chipping which is good in my book!

Do you own any Elf nail polish shades? Which are your favorite Summer nail polishes?

Christmas Gifts: Teddy Line Nail Polish

I love the color teal and my best friend got me this nail polish as one of my Christmas presents for this year. The color is simply numbered as 17. The product comes off pretty sheer on the first application but after two or three coats the color is true to how it looks in the bottle. I will try to do a NOTD with this color in the future so stay tuned.

What did you get for Christmas? What is your favorite color?
