More often than not, we put on foundation with the aim of achieving natural looking skin that imitates our own save any blemishes, acne, redness, etc, that we may have. Achieving this second skin look is more of a challenge than one might think. Depending on the base used my skin can look cakey, overly powdered, patchy or with just too much heavy coverage.
On the other hand, due to my skin not being anywhere near to perfect I have always strayed away from too light bases for fear of not enough coverage and of easy fading throughout the day. It is for this reason that I was so pleasantly surprised when I got to try the Pupa Milano Professionals BB Cream + Primer for Combination to Oily skin.
Although I am a self-proclaimed makeup addict, I was never inclined to try out a BB cream before, due to the above mentioned reasons. However after trying out this product for the first time I was immensely pleased with the resulting finish and formula that resulted in flawless and fresh looking skin.
Perhaps for the fact that this product also incorporates a primer, the application is effortless and the finish on the skin is natural-looking, smooth and not greasy. Although the colour choice is limited to only two shades, with my choice of the lighter shade (#001 Nude), the product blended easily to match my own skin tone. I applied it using a brush to lay the BB cream and a makeup blending sponge to press in more product where I needed more coverage.
The Pupa Professionals BB Cream + Primer comes in a tube that makes it an easy and non-messy affair to dispense the right amount of product without any waste. The consistency is thin and weightless, and the finish is silky but not greasy or sticky, leaving the skin looking bright but not dewy.

Wearing the Pupa Milano BB Cream + Primer
Having tested it out for the last couple of weeks I can also attest to its effective longevity on the skin, which truly surprised me. Compared to some of my higher coverage, matte foundations, the Pupa BB Cream lasted longer and didn’t get patchy. For slightly more coverage on work days I also added a drop of foundation to it and the resulting effect was equally satisfying. The Pupa Professionals BB Cream + Primer has SPF 20 and is oil free.
In conclusion, I can say that I am addicted to this product and will surely repurchase when it finishes. The Pupa Professionals BB Cream + Primer for Combination to Oily skin retails for € 15.95.
