Launch of Eau Thermale Avène in Malta

A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to attend the exclusive event launching the brand Eau Thermale Avène, here in Malta. Having already been acquainted with the brand for many years both by purchasing their products online as well as having seen their vast selection of items when I went to pharmacies in Paris, I was pleased to hear the news and looking forward to attend.

Held at the lavish Villa Arrigo in Naxxar, the setting reflected the elegance and purity with which Avène is associated. White drapes hung from the ceiling accompanied by dim lighting for a very intimate feel. Present at the event were a number of representatives from the Maltese pharmaceutical and beauty industry as well as experts from the brand itself.

One of the main points that was emphasised throughout the evening was the importance of the Avène Thermal Spring Water that is used within the majority of the products of this brand. As explained by representatives hailing from the brand’s headquarters in France, we were given a brief history of the brand and how the qualities of the Avène Thermal Spring Water were identified to have soothing and anti-irritation properties.

Set around the room was also the star product for the brand, the Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray which can be used in a variety of ways by both men and women – as a toner, after shaving, while travel and for soothing allergic reactions, any itching or redness.

During the short presentation about the brand we were also told about Avène, the quaint town in France where the thermal spring waters are located. Moreover, much to my surprise I learned about the Hydrotherapy Centre located in this same area and the vast history of the brand dating back to 1736.

Left to wander around the event area and around the rooms at Villa Arrigo, myself and the other beauty bloggers were soon looking at the array of products being displayed and took the opportunity to take a number of selfies as well.
