Haul: More Revlon Products

This haul is long overdue, since I got these products at the end of December! But among the Christmas holidays, assignments and exams this blog post got lost in all the mayhem! I am exceptionally late to jump on the Revlon foundation band wagon, since I was not a big fan of foundations until I used the Revlon Colorstay foundation for Combination/Oily skin. I have very acne prone skin which results in skin that is left with blemishes that need covering up. So when I was given a free make-over and the MUA used this foundation, I was pleasantly surprised. I left my skin looking non-greasy and the cover power is really great (review coming soon)! The bonus is that it doesn’t break me out. Thus, I had to get my hands on this foundation and I have been in love ever since. As I love the Revlon Lipglosses I got another one of the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Glosses in 18 Pearl Plum.

The lipgloss has blue shimmers in it, really gorgeous!

Some weeks ago the cool people for Born Pretty Store where kind enough to offer promotional codes to get both these items for free. I got myself this Nail Art template that has the cutest designs and these cute rhinestones that can be applied to the nails. They offer free shipping and all their products are really at an affordable price! They have many nail art supplies and nail polishes, so if you are a fan you will surely find all that you need here! I’m still not a pro at applying nail art but I want to learn and practice at it until I get it right.

Haul: Asian Products

Camellia Face Masks, Rose Eye Masks, Pore Strips
I have been dying to try out some face masks and as they are usually sold in Asia, I decided to give them a try. However, since there are no stores here in Malta that do sell Asian brands such as these I decided to try and purchase some from eBay. MissGlamorazzi on YouTube had been raving for some time about the Beauty Diary face masks and I really wanted to try some. So I got the ones shown above in the green and yellow box which are pretty similar! As I was browsing I also happened to see the Eye masks which intrigued me as I’d never really thought about them. I have dark circles round my eyes and they do tend to get a lot puffy, so I decided to give them a go also. They turned out to be really nice and cooling eye patches that you can put on you eyes and they have little slits so you can keep your eyes open. Lastly, I saw the pore strips which I must say where a huge disappointment and did not work at all.

My Conclusions:
I love the bright and fun packaging that all these products come into. As I said I am not impressed at all with the pore strips but maybe I just got the wrong brand or something. I definitely love the masks and will be sure to purchase more of the face masks in the future as they are truly relaxing and calming to the skin. I love the eye masks too but will have to try them further to see whether they do reduce my dark circles.

Haul: A few Makeup Products

Last week I was online browsing through websites and I decided to haul some stuff! Its actually a mini haul but I got somethings that I have been dying to get my hands on. I bought all the items from The Cosmetic House website which offers a variety of brands at an affordable price. I got four items from this website:

♥ W7 The Cheek of it: In the Pink Blushers – Pink Sands
Bourjois Ombre a Paupieres Eyeshadow Single – Beige Trompe Loeil 79
♥ Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lip color – 026 Tea Rose
♥ Benefit Crease less Cream Eyeshadow/Liner – Sippin and Dippin

Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lip color – 026 Tea Rose
Benefit Crease less Cream Eyeshadow/Liner – Sippin and Dippin

I have been dying to try out this Crease less Cream Shadow/Liner from Benefit ever since Fleur De Force mentioned it in her blog. She compared it to MAC Rubenesque Paint Pot and as I don’t have any paint pots from MAC I really wanted to try this product for a better price. This is a peachy coral color and I can’t wait to try it out.

For a review of the Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lip color in 026 Tea Rose you can check HERE. For a closer look at the W7 Blusher you can check HERE. For a review of the Benefit Creaseless Cream you can go HERE.

Haul: Mail Package!

Today I had an exam and was again feeling super tired and sad! But when I got home this is what I found waiting for me. The lovely people from Montagne Jeunesse sent me this huge package filled with goodies to try out and review for you! There are so many different face masques to try out and two face tonics which I had been dying to try out. I have found some shops which sell these masques but the range they have is always very limited. I have tried some masques from this brand already and did a review HERE.

(Left to Right) The Face Tonic and Cherry Tonic
It will take me some time to go through all of these masques but I will try to review them in batches so that you don’t have to read a super long post. I love this company as they never test on animals and always try to use natural ingredients in their products. I will also try to take pictures to show you the consistency of each of these masques, so that you have a good idea what they look like. 🙂 I am also looking forward to try these heating masques as they are supposed to make your skin really soft and smooth.

(Left to Right) Passion Peel Off and Sauna Masque
I will as always share with you my honest opinion and give you my experience with the products tried whether this is good or bad! I value your trust a lot and will only do reviews and tell you what I really think about a product, no matter where I get it from.

Have you tried any of the Montagne Jeunesse Masques? What do you think? Where do you get them from?

Haul: Essence

Essence Soft Touch Make-up in 02 Matt Beige, Essence Clear & Matt Foundation in 02 Honey and Essence Long lasting eye pencil in 02 Hot Chocolate

I have recently found this brand called Essence that can be found in drugstore or pharmacies where I live. They are really cheap and affordable products and so far I really like the quality. I had already tried out their concealer and I love it, it is one of my favorites. So I decided to try out some other products too. I picked up 3 items. I wanted to try the Clear & Matt foundation as it is oil free and I got it in the color Honey. Their color range is really limited but this color matches me pretty well. The product itself has a very light consistency and the coverage is light to medium but you can build it a little. It covers my uneven complexion and gives me a nice everyday natural look.

Next is the Soft touch make-up which I thought looked really similar to the Maybelline Dream Mousse foundation and I can confirm that it is really similar. It has that mousse feeling that we all adore and it is really light on the skin. I got in the color Matt Beige and it is a little too yellow for me but if I blend it down the neck it doesn’t show at all. It leaves my skin feeling non-greasy and my skin looks really flawless.

Last of all I picked up the long lasting eye pencil in their shade for brown which is called Hot Chocolate. I love these pencils, I also have it in black and they are really long lasting on the water line and once they dry they last a long time. I also did a review on the Essence Cover Stick.

Drugstore Haul: Revlon

Some weeks ago I got these items from a stationary near University which carries make up products too.  There was an offer from Revlon to buy 3 products and you got a gift for Free, so obviously I went for it!
I got the Revlon Double Twist mascara, the Revlon Color Burst lipstick in Blush and the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip gloss in Nude Lustre. As a gift I got the Revlon Eye Glide in Lilac, which can be used as a base for your eyeshadow or you can use it on its own for a wash of color over the lid.
This is the Super Lustrous Lip gloss in 04 Nude Lustre and I got it for €10.95. The color payoff of these lip glosses is amazing. They are true to the color in the bottle and they last for a long time. They are not too sticky and they don’t have any weird smell to them.
This is the Color Burst Lipstick in 035 Blush and the color is nude with a peachy undertone to it. I got this for €12.50 and I love it for when I have dark eyeshadow on and want a natural lip to go with it.

Left Blush, Right Nude Lustre

I wanted to try out a new mascara and the girl at the shop recommended I try the New Revlon Double Twist mascara. I got this for €12.95 and this mascara claims to give massive volume and definition to your lashes. I find that the mascara wand for this brush is too big for me and that it holds too much product in it. I tend to wipe off a lot of the excess off on the side of the tube. Said that I adore the formulation of this mascara and it gives lots of volume and length that lots of people have commented that I seem to be wearing false lashes.

This is the gift that I got with this purchase and it is an eyeshadow base in 09 Lilac. This has some shimmer to it and as you can see in the swatch below it is that nice vibrant lilac color which would look gorgeous in the Summer months. I look forward to use it for a variety of looks during the Summer.
