MAC MSF Dupes!! NYC Chroma Face Glow Review

Recently I was browsing through an online makeup site and came across the NYC Chroma Face Glow and they immediately reminded me of the MAC Mineralize SkinFinish. They were available in two lovely shades; Sunstone and Moonstone, and obviously I had to get my hands on both of them. Sunstone is the corally/warmer shade and Moonstone is a pinkier/rosy shade.

The products come in very simple but
sturdy packaging which allows you to see the product
without having to open the case which can sometimes be a little
bothersome. From
Left to Right: Sunstone and Moonstone
The products have veins in them that provide great
effect in the Summer. They are both
not overly pigmented and
very shimmery
. These products work great for a very sheer blush or
as a highlight shade
! I find these perfect to apply on tan skin for that sunkissed look

NYC Chroma Face Glow in Sunstone
A gorgeous corally shade with veining of brown and mint,
gives a glorious dewy finish to a tanned face together with a
bronzed or warm eye look
You get 0.36oz/10.2g of product
I got mine from The Cosmetic House for
2.25 pounds
I love how the back of the packaging is so fun and bright!

NYC Chroma Face Glow in Moonstone
A delicious pinky/rosy shade with plum and gold veining
Gives a nice light shimmery sheen that goes well with light shades on the eyes
You get 0.36oz/10.2g of product
I got mine from The Cosmetic House for
2.25 pounds

From Left to Right: Moonstone and Sunstone
I find that once applied to skin they may look very similar,
however it also depends on how I use them.
If I use the product just as a highlight shade then the difference is not very noticeable,
but if I just use bronzer on the face and a touch of the NYC Chroma Face Glow on the
cheeks the product color shows up more
I love how this product although it gives a gorgeous sheen, doesn’t have big glitter chunks that end up all over the skin. The product is not too powdery either so that it doesn’t end up all over the face and makes you look like a disco ball. The sheen as you may notice is really amazing and on the face the effect looks even better. If I were to recommend this product I would say that you can get away with just getting one shade, however I really love this product and for the price I am really glad to have gotten them both. You really end up using a small amount of product so I am sure these will last a long time!

Have you tried the NYC Chroma Face Glow? How do you think it compares to the MAC MSFs?

Product Review: Constance Carroll Blush in Mystic Rose

This blush is gorgeous for Summer with glamorous tanned skin. This is another of my favorite blushers by Constance Carroll in the shade Mystic Rose which is a gorgeous mauve/reddish shade. This shade is also gorgeous in Winter months as it gives paler skin a nice glow to the cheeks.

The packaging contains the blush and a
little blush brush
which is not practical for use.
Simple and sturdy packaging!
The shade is 23 Mystic Rose and
the brand is
Constance Carroll
The blusher has very little shimmer
so you don’t end up looking like a disco ball!
It usually looks like its matte when applied
to the skin which is my favorite type of blush!
The color payoff is really great as you can see
and the shade looks
gorgeous on the skin!
It has great lasting power on the skin too.

Do you like this shade? What is your favorite Summer blush?

Smokey Grey Eyes and False Lashes

I am so sorry for the lack of posts lately but I promise I will be making it up to you in the future, just had some personal issues that I had to sort out! Today I will be showing you a smoky eyes featuring these lovely lashes that were sent to me by KKCenterHK for reviewing purposes. This company is situated in Hong Kong and specializes in selling false lashes and wigs but also offer a wide variety of makeup palettes with eye shadows and face products. They also have a wide variety of nail polish and tools and various brushes and accessories for your makeup application. You can check their website HERE

They are the A 155 lashes and they are a little more dramatic
and fuller than what I am used to.
However the quality is amazing as always and they will
look great for a glamorous night out!
They come in a pack of  10 pairs so you
get 20 lashes to play around with!
They give you really nice length and volume!
For this look I made use of the
Inglot AMC 18 Silver Shade
and the
Elf Beauty Encyclopedia the Natural Eye Edition.
They have a nice flexible seam that allows
for quick and fast application. I make use of the
Duo Lash glue!

I do not usually wear such full lashes having naturally nice lashes but for a fun night out I love how fabulous these look.

Which are you favorite lashes? What do you think about this look?

Product Review: Astor Perfect Stay Lip Tint in Rosewood Blush

This is my first lip stain and it is in this marker type packaging which looks so weird to apply to your lips but works amazingly well. This is the Astor Perfect Stay Transferproof Lip Tint and Care in 103 Rosewood Blush. Many brands offer these types of lip tints such as Revlon, NYC and Cover Girl so there are many options if you want to try this kind of product.

The product comes with two ends,
one having the marker with the
lip stain and
the other end has a
lip balm since stains tend to
dry out your lips!
The lip stain is in the shade 103 Rosewood Blush,
a gorgeous
berry rose color that is perfect for a
statement lip in the Summer
The other end of the product is a simple standard
lip balm
that acts as a sealer to the lips and also hydrates
and gives some gloss to the lips
A swatch of Rosewood Blush
I find that this product stays on the lips for some time
but if you are eating and drinking a lot I think you still have to
reapply it after some time.
I don’t have any similar products from other brands so I wouldn’t
know how others compare but let me know on the staying power
of other brands for similar products.

Have you tried any lip stains? What are you favorites? What do you think about this shade?

Summer Favorites: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rose & Shine

This is the first post in my Mini Summer Series which will feature favorite products that I am loving during the Summer months. I find that as the seasons change my love for certain products grows while other products I seem to never use at all! For this post it will be all about my favorite Summer lipstick which is the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rose & Shine (get the pun)!

First thing you notice in this lipstick is the super
sleek packaging
. Its black with a golden band round the middle
with
Revlon in Bold Black lettering!
The product consists of a light texture lipstick
that provides
good hydration and does not sit
heavily on the lips. Can be applied
sheerly for a light pinky glossy look
or the intensity of the color can be increased.
The finish for the lipstick is Pearl and the color
is
no. 619 Rose & Shine which is a gorgeous warm pink
slightly shimmery
lipstick!
A swatch of this product shows how nice, sheer and
creamy
this lipstick is and as you can see the shimmer is really minimal
Lastly, this is the product applied to my lips and then this is
transfer that I got when applied to a piece of paper! I got this idea from
iamxteeener who has just recently started blogging! As you can see
the
shimmer shows a little here too!

Do you own any of the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks? What do you think about this product?

Product Review: Essence Clear & Matt Oil Free Foundation

Today I am going to review a foundation which I have been using for quite some months now. It is the Essence Clear and Matt Oil Free Foundation.

What they claim:
Unwanted shine doesn‘t stand a chance with the oil-free clear & matt foundation! its special active ingredients absorb excess oil and give you a healthy, shine-free complexion –  all day long! vitamin e protects your skin from any impurities. dermatologist tested.

The packaging is quite compact and convenient. It holds 30ml/1fl.oz of product as most foundations and the bottle is a squeeze tube which allows for great control of the amount of product you need.

The product helps to control oil on the skin
while providing light to medium coverage I am in the shade 02 Honey and the big downside to this product is the limited amount of shades that this brand offers! There are only three shades to choose from and I was lucky to have this color match me perfectly

The product is very thin and spreads out really easily
on the skin. It is absorbed really quickly and leaves the skin matte and shine free. This is a dollop of product on my hand.

I have quite a big amount on my skin but it is
spread out a little so you can get an idea of the shadeand texture of this foundation. My recommendation is to choose this foundation ifyou have good skin but you want to even out your complexion,or if you want light coverage and maybe want to use some concealer on any blemishes that you might have.

What I think:
I love this foundation when I want a light covering of the skin without hassling too much that my foundation is blended perfectly and that it is spread evenly. This product allows you to even out your skin tone without being too heavy on the skin while providing a nice matte and shine free surface. The color selection is not the best but if you happen to fit in a shade then it is great. The product cost about €4 and I have found mine at a local pharmacy. You can check out more from this brand on their website.

Have you tried any Essence products? What do you think about this foundation?

Product Review: Constance Carroll Blusher in Dawn Glow

I have had this blusher for some time now and this has to be my most reached for and loved blusher I own! I have phases with blusher where I sometimes change my most reached for blusher but in the end I always end up going back to this blusher. This is the Constance Carroll Blusher in Dawn Glow.

The packaging is very simple and nothing special
however it is
very sturdy and has lasted for years now!
The shade is no. 8 Dawn Glow
and it is a gorgeous peachy corally shade
The blusher is really pigmented and what I usually do is
load up the brush with product then blend it on the back
of my hand and then apply to my cheeks
You also get a little brush which is fairly useless
A swatch of Dawn Glow
This blush usually last on my skin for about
six hours before starting to fade a little

What is your favorite blusher? What do you think about this color?
